INSURANCE CLAIMS ADVISOR

Great Oak VFA Litigation Support is a unique to industry, innovative and fast-growing litigation support firm. We specialize in the quantification of insurance claims, including past and future loss of income, future cost of care calculations, vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, labour market analysis and Income Replacement Benefit calculations.
We are expanding and our office is seeking a self-motivated, career-driven Insurance Claims Advisor. As an Insurance Claims Advisor you will work very closely with the injured clients to support them throughout their claim processes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with insurance companies, policyholders and their representatives
- Liasing with respective law firms representing the injured claimants
- Gathering, assembling and verifying information and documentation from all available sources to endure a thorough compilation of facts required to complete the expert reports.
- Communicating with the injured claimants to ensure they are familiar with all aspects of our services
- Providing timely and regular status updates to clients
- Meeting productivity objectives set by Great Oak VFA Management
- Staying current with applicable legislative and legal decisions
- Preparing engagement proposals, work plans, time budgets and fee estimates
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills, including communicating in person, e-mail and telephone
- Well organized, able to prioritize numerous tasks, and work on multiple assignments simultaneously
- Proficient with Excel and Word
- Ability to work both independently and also a consummate team player
- Ability to meet time, budgets and deadlines
- Enrolled in or completion of CIP designation an asset
- Automobile insurance related experience an asset

We are expanding and our office is seeking a self-motivated, career-driven accountant (CPA-CA/CGA/CMA) with a broad range of accounting skills and business experience. You will have the opportunity to learn an industry specific skill set, conduct research, analyze financial activity and prepare very detailed reports that could be used in insurance claim litigation(s).

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

Great Oak VFA Litigation Support is a unique to industry, boutique litigation support firm that provides vocational and economic consulting services to the legal community, third party payers and corporate industry in Ontario. We are continually growing and are actively looking to expand our team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong time management and planning skills, will be able to coordinate a variety of tasks, draft correspondence and effectively communicate with all the stakeholders. We place an emphasis on: attention to detail, proven administrative skills, natural tendency to be friendly and enthusiastic.
Responsibilities will include:
- Communicating/liaising with insurance companies, legal representatives and accounting firms on a daily basis
- Preparing and reviewing formal documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, emails and facsimiles
- Scheduling clients for appointments and coordinating support services
- Maintaining electronic and hard copy filing system
- Assisting with the preparation and mailing of invoices and cheques
- Providing an administrative support function to firm Partners and consultants as needed
- Performing administrative tasks including mailing scanning, faxing and copying
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years of administrative experience
- Certificate/diploma in Administration, Business, Human Resource Management or similar fields are an asset (new graduates are welcome to apply)
- Attention to detail is a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with tact and diplomacy
- Strong administrative, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong initiative and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Comfortable following written instructions and working with numbers
- Comfortable working with people and communicating with professionals
- Proven ability to perform repetitive tasks in a consistent and accurate manner
- Knowledge of Accounting and/or Canadian Tax System is a plus
